Chosen Families Project#30 - The Benson-Kiley Wedding Album - RETURNED

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to the The Chosen Families Project!

Before I begin with the story, I want to highlight that my episode with Maureen Taylor on her podcast The Photo Detective Podcast has been released, and you can find it here!

To get into the story, I was recently looking through eBay when I stumbled across this beautiful wedding album from the 25th of April 1953 with the names of Maurgerite and Andrew on the front. Upon receiving the album, it provided their full names of Andrew L. Benson and Maurgerite F. Kiley. The wedding took place St. John Evangelist Church in Winthrop, Massachusetts.

From their I was able to locate their daughters and was able to it return it to them!

Here is a newspaper article from The Boston Globe on the 26 April 1953 that details the account of the wedding. I have also included some of the snapshots below.

Marguerite unfortunately had passed away in 2020. I want to formally dedicate this article to her, as her family remarked of how an amazing woman she was and life and to their family. I also want to thank the family for being so kind and I am so ever grateful to return this treasured heirloom back to you!
